First Day of School 2025

The first day of school* for students in Grades 6-12 is Tuesday, September 2nd. The school day for Grades 9-12 at the High School is 8:20am - 3:00pm; bell times and schedule reminders will be provided in the back-to-school mailing.

New in the 2025-26 school year is an adjusted first day schedule for High School students. The goal is to enhance engagement and connection among 9th Grade students, their peers and school staff right from the start of the school year while ensuring students in Grades 10-12 continue to build strong relationships and agency early on. Additional details are noted below.

*All students in Grades 9-12 who receive center-based special education services will report to school, in-person, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Students enrolled in PSEO, EP Online (in-partnership with Shakopee Public Schools), Northern Star Online, Southwest Metro Educational Cooperative (Co-op) or other service providers outside of Shakopee High School will need to follow their schedule as communicated by such programs/institutions.
